The TV show Suits (my current Amazon Prime binge) brought me to this song. I had to pause the episode and find the song online. Yup, story of my life. I sometimes find myself pausing in the middle of shows, stores, chores, drives, etc because of music and it happens more than you would think.  If I hear a song that immediately speaks to me, I get online to search for it, write lyrics on sticky notes, take snapshots of my pandora stations… Please tell me I am not the only one! 

So here I am. It’s a rainy day and I just finished up a 10 hr work day. My office is dark and the only light is my desk lamp. I played the song twice and there are so many things running through my mind. Because it is not always a song about “someone else.”  We all have things that we hold back on, because we don’t want to get hurt. For many of us…it’s hurt again. The song also reminds me that at times, we are over critical of ourselves and we need to accept things we cannot change and make sure that we learn to love ourselves. In addition to the very simple song lyrics, the video tells the story that nothing is as it seems to be, until  you see the full picture.  It starts with seeing microscopic things, to then seeing the full picture.
