I have truly missed writing for my blog. To all of my friends & followers who reached out to me, I am hoping to be back on a regular schedule soon.

So that brings me to my first post in a while. Today has been a MUSIC kind of day. Tonight, my house is LOUD!  I have some much needed alone time. The music is blaring and I needed this man’s voice and lyrics so much today.

My heart has been full of emotions as life takes on new beginnings. I am freed from a burden that I carried for so many years. I am freed from a relationship that brought about so much pain. I am freed from a life of hiding behind painful smiles. I am freed from a relationship that was so unpredictable. I am freed from walking on egg shells.  I am freed from holding back on living life that way it was truly meant to be lived.

Lately…I have been able to smile, laugh and adventure without the feeling of guilt. Now, I LIVE LIFE.

While I took the steps to begin a new life 3 and a half years ago, it recently became official. It was absolutely bittersweet as I watched a person who I once believed to be truly good, go down a path that caused others so much pain. But I am no longer on the receiving end of it on a daily basis and God clearly has incredible plans for me ahead.

Today, I pay homage to one of my absolute favorite singers of ALL TIME who carried me through a bittersweet stage of my life. The  fabulous and talented musical genius Chris Cornell. Because…

Boy, am I feeling like the SKY!

This man’s voice and lyrics makes the hair on my arms stand. I am so lucky to have been able to see perform him live. When I heard of his passing, I can honestly say that I cried for days.
