Music Fuels My Soul (Song and Video Series #12) Titanium

David Guetta – Titanium ft. Sia

I am pretty sure this has been my anthem for the last few years. I actually hear this song often on my runs. But one day at the beginning of this year on a long run, this song came on and in my head I know I screamed YES! YES! YES! It was around mile 4 and I got my second wind. If you are a runner, you know that runner’s high feeling. It feels so good!

There I was, in the streets of my quiet neighborhood, continuing to run like no one could ever catch up to me.

I’m bulletproof nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
Fire away, fire away
You shoot me down but I won’t fall, I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won’t fall
I am titanium

Many of us have been at that point where the world seems to be throwing so much our way. But over the years, I have noticed a huge change in me. When bad things happen, I seem to stand stronger. I don’t worry as much about what others say. When I walk away from situations, others might think that I am heartless or no longer care. Truth is, I will  always continue to want the best for others (always), but I won’t let them walk over me. So whatever negativity you throw my way, fire away, fire away.

Below is the original, the version that is now a regular on my run list. The second is a cover I have always loved. I would say this is more of my hot bath and candles version. Ha!

In life, you will always be confronted with people who will not understand your journey to live your best self and a happy life. There are others who will spew hate and even try to take advantage of you.  To that, I say ignore them. Keep far away from them. And if you see your loved ones fall victim to someone’s hate, stick up for them. Don’t be afraid. Be strong.  Be titanium
